Scope of Work

System D were awarded the project of working with a new client to install the electronic security system in an office just outside Paris city centre. Installing new access control doors, cameras and alarm sensor into a new, modern office space as part of a total office refurb.

Work Carried Out

As part of a full office refurbishment project, our team was responsible for the complete installation and integration of a comprehensive security system within a newly designed modern office space. The scope included:

Installation of Access Control: Fitted and commissioned 10 new access-controlled doors across the premises to ensure secure access for designated personnel. These were strategically positioned to support both staff-only areas and sections allocated for subcontractor use, with appropriate access levels configured.

CCTV System Deployment: Installed 18 high-definition security cameras, providing full coverage of internal and external areas. Camera placement was carefully planned to eliminate blind spots and meet the client’s surveillance requirements while adhering to the manufacturer’s installation guidelines.

Intruder Alarm System: Integrated 28 alarm sensors, including motion detectors and door contacts, to secure entry points and sensitive zones within the office. The alarm system was configured to suit the building layout and usage patterns, with appropriate zoning for different areas.

Coordination with Other Trades: Worked closely with electrical, IT, and construction teams to coordinate installation timelines, cable routing, and system integration. This ensured minimal disruption to the overall project schedule and avoided conflicts with other services being installed.

Compliance and Commissioning: Ensured that all installed equipment met the client’s specification and the operational standards set by the security equipment manufacturers. Conducted full system testing and commissioning, with handover documentation and user training provided upon completion.

Project Review

As part of a full office refurbishment, I installed 10 access control doors, 18 CCTV cameras, and 28 alarm sensors throughout a modern office space designed for both full-time staff and subcontractors. The project required careful coordination with other on-site trades to ensure seamless integration of the security system. By aligning our work with both the client’s requirements and the manufacturer’s specifications, we delivered a fully functional, secure environment on time and to a high standard.
